Idk

I spent years walking on mapped-out roads,wearing the shoes others picked for my feet,
answering to a name whispered by the crowd,and collecting pieces of a person I was told to be.
I looked for myself in the praise of strangers,and mirrored my worth in passing eyes,building a home out of borrowed expectations,only to watch the foundations fracture and slide.
So I stepped off the pavement into the quiet,leaving behind the noise and the heavy demands.
I stripped away the layers of who I was supposed to be,and stood bare-faced in the open lands.
It turns out I was never truly lost to begin with;
I was just buried beneath the dust of trying to please.Finding yourself is not a map to a new destination,but the slow, brave act of returning to your knees,
To listen closely to the rhythm of your own heart,to embrace the quiet space where your truths align,and realizing the stranger you were searching forwas waiting inside you, whole and free, the entire time.
A poem about finding yourself, by me!
